It's almost Friday!!!

I've been up since 6:30 this morn. and couldn't go back to sleep so I thought I would get on here and update everyone on my week. I hate when I can't go back to sleep though. I spent the night with a friend and I just don't sleep as well at a friend's place as I do my own bed and we didn't go to bed until 2:00 this morn. so I'm EXHAUSTED!!!
So, this week has been a hectic week for me! I had to fight my cold all week long and it has just made me feel crummy all week long! I think I'm finally on the track of getting better!
Hasn't the weather this week just been absolutely WONDERFUL!!! I was so sad that I was sick and I couldn't completely enjoy it the way I would have liked to!

Tonight in my night class I have to read a children's book and make an activity that goes along with the book. I chose Gobble Growl Grunt by: Peter Spier. It's a picture book of children's favorite animals and the sound that each animal makes. In the book is a lion and with the help of my wonderful big sis (Linz) I made a lion out of a paper plate attached a dixie cup to the back of it, poked a hole in the bottom of the cup slipped a string through the hole w/ a paper clip on each end to keep the string from sliding through and as you pull the string back in forth it makes a "roaring" sound that resembles a real lion's roar.... it's so precious!!! I hope my teacher likes it!!!

I get to come home this weekend! Yay! However I believe I'll spend most of my time in Memphis because I'm going to take my niece and nephew along with a friend to the Memphis Zoo. Oh, how I miss my pride and joy while I'm away at school!

Yay! It's FRIDAY!!!

Well, today is Friday and I'm super excited that the school week is over!

Yesterday I got to my math class to take my test and the teacher informs us that on test days she will treat our class as if it's a mwf class and we only have 50 mins to take the test instead of an hr. and 15 mins like we're suppose to. I was so frustrated because I was the last one to leave the classroom and since we only had 50 mins to take the test I ran out of time and didn't get to properly finish a problem.... If that is the only problem I miss on my test you better believe there will be some complaining to someone about how she shorted our test time!

Also mrs. roan I'm not sure if you're readingmy blog or not but just to let ya know I haven't given up on running. I have a friend that used to be in the ROTC here at state and she is my drill sergeant! She runs me all over campus every tues. nite. We are running in the Johnny Cash 5K next month. So I'm trying to get in shape for this one!

I have a busy weekend ahead of me! I woke up this morning feeling HORRIBLE!!! A scratchy sore throat and drainage! that's no fun! thankfully my roomie had some medicine so maybe I'll feel better by tonite because I have friends coming from out of town to see me tonite! Also we have our big game against Auburn tomorrow nite and my bulldogs need all the support they can get! Wish them luck! Go Dawgs!!!

My Crazy Day!!!

Well, it's now 11:17 and I just finished studying for my first problem solving math test, but I am super excited my sissy (Lindsay Allen Branch) has set me up a blog where I can update everyone on my busy life while I'm away at school in Starkville. (GO BULLDOGS!!!)So, can I just begin telling everyone how CRAZY my day was today!!! I woke up as normal and got ready to go to the local elem. school here in Starkville for my one hr./one day a week involvement with a kindergarten class. Well, I arrived right on time(11:00). I walked in with a fellow classmate that actually helps in the same classroom. We sign in go through the whole visitor "junk" and we go to our classroom to find a pitch black room w/ no teacher and no students...? We were puzzled so my classmate asked me what do we do? So I said let's go back to the office and ask where they are... So we do and the secetary proceeds to tell us today is an early release day... We asked what's that? she said the students will leave today at 12:30. We were kind of frustrated that our teacher didn't think to tell us not to come and we had to drive all the way across town for nothing! Oh well, now we know what an early release day is and that they have one for the first Wed. of everyother month. The next one will be Nov. 5th so I know we won't forget!haha
Well, then the next crazy thing that happened was while I was at my apartment and I was watching CNN news I believe and it was 5:30 and I said oh my I better brush my teeth and leave for church services before I'm late. So I'm rushing to services and I finally make it with like 2 minutes to spare so it's 5:58 and I look in the parking lot and NOBODY was there!!! and I said to myself BECKY you are CRAZY... Services don't start at 6 on Wed. they start at 7!!! so luckily a friend that attends services with me lives like 5 seconds from the building and I called her up and told her what I did and asked if I could just stay at her apt. until services started so I didn't have to drive all the way back home and then all the way back to services! Wooh! I tell ya what today was just a CRAZY DAY!!!

I haven't been able to post from the beginning of the school year so I'll update you on some exciting things that have happened since the first of the school year. So, we had this paper due in my Literature class(which by the way is my hardest class I've had ever in my life! It's way over my head!) and I was stressing and stressing over it so much that when I came home for labor day weekend I didn't even enjoy the holiday because I was reading my book and focusing on the paper. I turn it in on Tues. not feeling very confident about it because our teacher is very strict and I knew he was going to grade hard and to top it off Lit is just not my thing.... So Thurs. rolls around and he tells us we can check our grades online and I say a lil' prayer before I check mine and I made an A... YES I said an A!!! I was super excited about my A! :-)

Also our preacher here at Northside has been doing a series of lessons out of Luke and as of right now we are in Luke 6. I have come to find out that I struggle with certain things in this chapter. Luke 6:27 "Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you." Not that I believe I have any enemies, or atleast I hope I don't, but I know at times I struggle to "love" someone who is hateful towards me. So, I need to work on this!!!

This weekend is Bulldog Bash so there will be a lot of activities going on including "mini" concerts. I've invited an old friend and her boyfriend down friday night to attend the music part of Bulldog Bash weekend! Then Sat. night at 6:00 we play Auburn... Wish us luck! Maybe we'll have our second win of the season!!!

Well, I guess I need to get in the bed to get my atleast 8 hrs. of rest!!! Wish me luck on my first math test!
