After the wedding Christmas came fast. In pictures below you can see my dad playing with Anna Kate on Christmas day. He braided her doll's hair as well as A.K.'s hair. This brought back fond memories of when I was a child. I can remember when my daddy would sit down with me and braid my hair as a little girl. We have a picture of me somewhere where I have individual braids ALL OVER my head...haha We went and visited with my Aunt, Uncle and three cousins at their new cabin in Grenada on Saturday.
For New Years I went and visited the newly weds at their new house in Jackson. Pictures below show me and Cody, me and Jess, and Jessica's little teacup yorkie, LuLu. After Cody and I visited with Jess and Jonethan we went and visited w/ my sister, Lindsay and her friend, Brooke. I had a great trip overall and made lots of new memories. :)

My bouquet I carried in the wedding.

I caught the bouquet.....

I got to see LOTS of old friends that I haven't seen in years! It was so much fun getting to catch up on everything from everyone!

Obviously as you can tell it's been so long since I've posted anything, that I've forgotten how to actually work the website.... so sorry there's 3 different posts in one day....

Where to begin....I've been SUPER busy over the Holidays, but I have thoroughly enjoyed staying busy visiting with friends and family and making lots of new memories.
Over the Holidays I was the maid of honor in my best friend from high school's wedding. There were a lot of festivities going on with her big day. I hosted the lingerie shower for her and a Bridal Brunch the day before here wedding. Here are some pictures to view.

Christmas Eve

It's finally Christmas Eve 2009. I cannot believe how fast this year has flown by. I have already gotten to open one Christmas present tonight. My mom and sister, Lindsay are sorting out presents right now. They are the perfect little Santa helpers.
Most importantly I wanted to wish everyone a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and have a very SAFE Holiday season. :)

Follow Me

My favorite thing about attending services in Starkville is the singing. It's absolutely beautiful! I truly believe that's what the singing in Heaven will sound like. So, I was in church services this morning when we started to sing song #395 Follow Me. I was thinking to myself I'm not sure if I'm familiar with this song, but as we started to sing it and I concentrated on the words we were singing I realized there was a whole lot more to this song. The song read as follows...
I traveled down a lonely road and no one seemed to care, The burden on my weary back Had bowed me to despair, I often complained to Jesus How folks were treating me, And then I heard Him say so tenderly, "My feet were also weary, Upon the Calv'ry road; The cross became so heavy, I fell beneath the load, Be faithful weary pilgrim in The morning I can see, Just lift your cross and follow close to me."
"I work so hard for Jesus" I often boast and say, I've sacrificed a lot of things To walk the narrow way, I gave up fame and fortune; I'm worth a lot to Thee," And then I hear Him gently say to me "I left the throne of glory And counted it but loss, My hands were nailed in anger Upon a cruel cross, But now we'll make the journey With your hand safe in Mine, So lift your cross and follow close to me."
Oh, Jesus if I die upon A foreign filed some day, 'Twould be no more than love demands No less could I repay, "No greater love hath mortal man Than for a friend to die" These are the words He gently spoke to me, "If just a cup of water I place within your hand Then just a cup of water Is all that I demand, " But if by death to living They can Thy glory see, I'll take my cross and follow close to Thee.
After getting tears in my eyes and feeling like as if I were only an inch tall. I realized I am guilty of complaining of such little things that I believe I have sacrificed to be a Christian and struggling through life's everyday challenges that these things I come face to face with are nothing compared to what Christ did for us so that we may spend eternity with him one day in Heaven.

I just found this song very encouraging to myself and thought others might as well. :)

It's almost Friday!!!

I've been up since 6:30 this morn. and couldn't go back to sleep so I thought I would get on here and update everyone on my week. I hate when I can't go back to sleep though. I spent the night with a friend and I just don't sleep as well at a friend's place as I do my own bed and we didn't go to bed until 2:00 this morn. so I'm EXHAUSTED!!!
So, this week has been a hectic week for me! I had to fight my cold all week long and it has just made me feel crummy all week long! I think I'm finally on the track of getting better!
Hasn't the weather this week just been absolutely WONDERFUL!!! I was so sad that I was sick and I couldn't completely enjoy it the way I would have liked to!

Tonight in my night class I have to read a children's book and make an activity that goes along with the book. I chose Gobble Growl Grunt by: Peter Spier. It's a picture book of children's favorite animals and the sound that each animal makes. In the book is a lion and with the help of my wonderful big sis (Linz) I made a lion out of a paper plate attached a dixie cup to the back of it, poked a hole in the bottom of the cup slipped a string through the hole w/ a paper clip on each end to keep the string from sliding through and as you pull the string back in forth it makes a "roaring" sound that resembles a real lion's roar.... it's so precious!!! I hope my teacher likes it!!!

I get to come home this weekend! Yay! However I believe I'll spend most of my time in Memphis because I'm going to take my niece and nephew along with a friend to the Memphis Zoo. Oh, how I miss my pride and joy while I'm away at school!
